How to Change your Outcome by Changing your Outlook

How to Change your Outcome by Changing your Outlook

Do you ever feel like things seem to continually go wrong? Like the Universe has chosen you to take out it's cruel jokes, and make everything around you mess up and fall apart?

Sometimes we just are looking at things wrong, focusing on the negative. When we do this, it tends to draw more negative experiences towards you.

Have you ever heard this quote?

"When you Change the way you look at things, the things you look at Change."
~Dr. Wayne Dyer

That wonderful quote from Wayne Dyer is such an inspiration to me. You'd be amazed at how much things can really change when you begin to focus on what’s going right, instead of what's not working out, or what things you don't like.

When you begin to look for what is going right, having gratitude, and focusing on even the littlest of things that can give you joy, everything begins to shift, then the negative can begin to fall away, and good things become the norm.

Some things that have been found to help this shift are:

v  Going complaint-free. Try going an hour without complaining and see the positive things in your life. Next, try a day, a week, and so on.
v  Keep a gratitude journal. Each evening, list 10 or more things that you are grateful for.
v  Give compliments freely. Notice the good in others. Praise every person you interact with.
v  Find beauty everywhere in your world. Notice its gorgeousness.
v  Share your good news. Studies show that sharing happy events brings even more happiness.
v  Focus on what you want, not what you don’t want.
v  When all else fails, just take a moment and sit in a quiet place, take some slow deep breaths and say a few positive words to yourself like β€œI am strong, courageous and receptive to all good things to come my way.”
v  If finances have been a trouble area, it's helpful to pull out everything and see exactly where you are and organizing a reasonable monthly budget. By knowing and owning what's really going on it makes tackling it more manageable and you will have a more positive outlook on your finances too!

Each new way to look at things will begin to bring positive & uplifting aspects into your life. Soon the positive flow of things will be your new normal. Everyday will feel lighter and more joyful as you continue inviting this new way of thinking and being to each day.

I would love to hear from you about how looking at things more positively has impacted your life! Please share your thoughts and experiences!

May you encounter that which brings you the most Joy and Happiness!

Tina
